Hey Coffee Peeps,
For those of you that have recently decided to follow and support my new endeavor, you will realize very quickly that I am a very resourceful person {**Insert appreciation for your subscription here : )}. It's no secret that African American small business owners are relentlessly under-served when it comes to business loans. It is next to impossible to receive funding and/or grants in the beginning stages of a business. The technical term during this stage is "incubation/ idea creation" period. Forget all of the misinformation people have posted on social media... That's a lie!!
How you say? When I started this journey in February 2023, I had the same mentality. I was going to apply for EVERYTHING and gather as much as I can to enter the market with a BIG OLE building and MAXIMUM overhead (bahaaahhaaa!!). WRONG!! Reality set it in quickly. NO's were flying out faster than I could make a cup of coffee. Turns out, $50,000 dollars of profit and 1-3 years in business is the price of entry! Well if I had $50,000, I wouldn't need
financing ....Duh!! Instead of feeling defeated because I am a black woman entering into the entrepreneur realm, I decided to share myself with the world. Yes, I'm more creative than I let on. Consider it my super power!
With very little money and a mission to live life out loud, we now have 3 mobile coffee carts that will shift between Arkansas and Louisiana!! Look what a little Pinterest, determination, and sweat equity will do! Yay!!!! #Shedidthat
If you made it this far in the blog, I know you are a true supporter. So here's the deets: I will post updates, locations, & hours of operation in a blog post. No worries, you will get an email notification so you won't miss the opportuntiy to taste "The Irish" (My FAV!).
You go girl!!! Keep on keeping on do what you know to do!!!
